Dog food news: Consistent training helps puppies

Being consistent while training puppies and giving them dog food will help them to understand good behaviour.
Growing puppies need consistent training to get them to behave well and earn their dog food, one writer has suggested.Owner of two young dogs Nick Barnett wrote for Stuff that he has recently noticed a change in his canines, Phoebe and Connor, that he can only put down to them growing up.
While he has noticed that older pup Phoebe has become more cautious when playing outside, Connor is starting to behave better at home, which the writer put down in part to his training.
"I've been more consistent about training him and not letting him get away with things we don't like (leaping at us and grabbing clothes with his teeth, for example)," Mr Barnett wrote.
A dog in Australia which definitely earned its dog food recently was Rosie, an 18-month-old silky terrier, which awoke its owners when it smelled smoke from a large fire in their home.
