Ex-rescue dogs invited to show
An animal rescue centre is hoping some of its ex-residents will enter a dog show later this month.
Animal lovers looking to purchase pet supplies for their pooches may be interested in a dog show set to take place in Derbyshire.The Buxton Advertiser reports how the RSPCA Chesterfield and North Derbyshire branch is planning to host the Paws in the Park event on September 11th.
Manager at the centre Rachel Gray explained how everyone is welcome, but the rescue shelter is particularly hoping to see some of its former residents take part.
"We are all eager to see how these dogs are getting on with their new owners and find out what they have been up to," she stated, adding that it would give members of the public the chance to see what a difference adopting a dog can make.
Throughout the day there will be a host of classes and competitions such as "happiest puppy" and "best vintage dog".
The show is free to attend and will be held from 11:00 BST to 16:00 BST at Eastwood Park in Hasland.
Individuals keen to enter their dog are asked to register through the centre's online site.
